This view is from a ridge overlooking the forest floor and lake below. The white snow on the lake and the forest floor is so amazing and unifies the whole piece. I am looking forward to getting back to this spot and finishing this piece someday soon.

My focus will be on framing this section with a tall tree study on both the right and left side along with a wide close up of the ground on the bottom and sky above.

Got out and did some snowshoeing this past weekend. It was a beautiful day on the trails, the sun was shining and the snow was thick. I took a few study shots for some larger pieces.

On February 8, 2008 Polaroid Corporation announced that it will discontinue production of the instant film that made the company a household name. This site, savepolaroid.com, will document the aftermath of this announcement and will serve as a home-base for the effort to convince another company to take over and begin producing the cherished technology that Polaroid has abandoned.

Lets hope another company buys the license to make the film, like Fujifilm or Ilford.
