I was asked to collaborate on the cover for the first issue of Gradient Magazine with Matt Fried. Since this was the first issue we went with that theme and created a cover with a medium that was also a first of its kind.

It is a free publications dealing with art and culture that is beautifully designed and written. I have some of the composite pieces in the gallery section of the magazine also.

Coming down to the last days of the show and I realized that I never promoted the books that I made for the exhibition. There are still some available from the edition of 20, you can go over to Open Space Gallery and buy them at the online store.

I had a good time making them and included some of all my favorite photographs from all the various styles.

Tonight, somewhere in Dumbo Brooklyn. Three artists will create a mosaic narrative out of Polaroid pictures with the audience playing the characters in the story. Unfortunately I am not involved with this but I will surely be swinging by to see what happens. Stay tuned to LVHRD, looks like the have lots of good things cooking up!

Check out the video.

2 videos that use Polaroid

Thursday, March 13th, 2008

I am not sure what the idea is behind this one (maybe that instant film grows on trees in Berlin) but it is visually interesting and the addition of the snapshots, which are beautiful in and of themselves, and sx-70 is great!

Adidas Original, “Handbags for Feet.”

Beautiful song, the video gets a bit distracting but amazing still. I wish they tried to push the Polaroid stop motion idea a bit furhter and used some composites with stop motion animation in them, or even pushed the picture in picture theme.
