TIME ZERO Trailer

Wednesday, March 28th, 2012

I was interviewed for this film several years ago, very excited to see the premiere- it looks beautiful and I know it was created with a love for the medium and a passion for creativity!

For the last few years we have been contributing, marveling and waiting for Grant Hamilton’s documentary work TIMEZERO: The Last Year Of Polaroid Film. Now we are excited to announce that this unique film will have its world permiere at the Independent Film Festival Boston to be held April 25th to May 2nd.

Join the premiere in attendance of Grant Hamilton and Impossible as well as former Polaroid employees – last but not least Boston was the home of Polaroid!

Short video from the FreeArtNY documentary I was featured in.

FreeArtinNY.org exhibits the artists of Orange County NY and their work. Each artist has a profile page which presents images of their work along with an Artist’s statement and a short video. The documentary style videos on the site were created while visiting each artist either in their studio or while working in the field. The videos give a glimpse into the artistic concept and process of the individual.

Richard Sandler’s ‘Brave New York’

Thursday, August 14th, 2008

New York documentarian Richard Sandler will be screening two of his films, Brave New York and Sway, at the 6B Garden on August 22.Brave New York is a free form documentary that loosely chronicles the last 12 years of intense change in the east village “hood.” From the reopening of a newly curfewed Tompkins Square Park and Wigstock in ‘92, to the destruction of the cherished Loisaida Community Gardens, to the yuppie invasions of the dot com years, to the present era, indelibly stamped with post-9/11 grief, this durable, lusty neighborhood survives in spite of a real estate gold rush that has excluded all but the well-to-do. The movie’s main voices are those of the artists and street people whose wisdom and commentaries upon the dominant culture give us pause amidst the speedy approach of a “Brave New World.”

Philip-Lorca diCorcia’s Thousand/Video

Wednesday, July 16th, 2008

A short film about diCorcia’s project here. Thousand makes its exhibition debut as part of LACMA’s diCorcia retrospective, on view through Sept 14.

The book was laid out using a random numbering sequence generated by computers- the narrative then is purely in the viewers mind and it is as if you are looking through a box of old Polaroids… another amazing idea from this great photographer.
