Evan Williams Bourbon & Major League Baseball | Barrel Pre-Roll
Motion Graphics / Art Direction
When Evan Williams partnered with MLB for a high-impact YouTube pre-roll campaign, I was tasked with leading the creative concept and studio direction. The project centered on bridging the gap between raw, practical cinematography and high-end digital compositing to create a visual experience that felt both premium and authentic to the craft of bourbon.

The goal was to capture the "soul" of the barrel. Rather than relying solely on CGI, I opted for a hybrid production approach. We needed a shot that felt tactile and immersive, so we focused on capturing high-speed, practical footage of the barrel details in-studio. The creative strategy was to treat the barrel not just as a container, but as a canvas for the MLB partnership branding.

Precision in Motion The technical focus was on the "how" of the movement. I utilized custom easing curves to ensure the transitions felt organic rather than mechanical. By breaking down the intricate illustrations into animatable layers, I was able to implement kinetic typography and subtle shape language. The result is a series of logo stings where every move is intentional, guiding the viewer’s eye through the detail of the emblem to the final brand reveal.

Elevating the Identity Adding motion transformed these static assets into high-impact brand moments. These logo stings provide the brand with a versatile tool for digital storytelling, making the identity "scroll-stopping" on social media and professional in video headers. By marrying high-level illustration with intentional motion, we created a memorable visual signature that reinforces the brand's quality and craftsmanship.
